A re-imagined packaging design and its components for the "corner the market" card game, PIT. This project uses hand-done illustration for the logo, playing cards, and decorative details. It is designed to efficiently utilize the interior space, condense its size from the original packaging, as well as provide an appropriate farmer's market style.
Upon opening the game, you can see 8 sets of cards resting on the perimeter of the box while the bell is nested in the center.
The cards sit upright in their slot, allowing for players to see the name of the crop written on the card. The back slots are slightly elevated to achieve this.
There are 8 sets of color coordinated cards all with their designated crop - potato, carrot, corn, tomato, corn, eggplant, wheat, and rye. All crops are illustrated using the cross-hatching method for a more rustic and organic feel.
Utilizing all the illustrated crops, I created a tessellation that became the wallpaper of the inner and outer walls of the packaging.
